Rating Issued for IMON INTERNATIONAL

In April, IMON INTERNATIONAL received an international rating of “A” from Microfinanza, a CGAP/World Bank certified rating agency. The rating means that IMON INTERNATIONAL is operating professionally, the risks are minimal and all activities are properly tracked and managed.

The rating issued in April represents an upgrade from the “A-“ rating awarded to the company in 2007. The upgrade is based upon the leading market position of IMON in the microfinance market of Tajikistan in all phases of its activities, its asset quality and profitability, its active development of the regional economies and its diversified range of services.

The rating agency representatives have also mentioned the overall strength of the organization, its excellent portfolio quality, experienced management, wide regional network and leadership in the microfinance market.

The rating agency states in its report that under the circumstances of the global crisis, IMON INTERNATIONAL has displayed professional management in dealing with the challenges of the current realities of the financial sector and macro situation in Tajikistan. This outstanding international rating validates the strength of the organization and can strengthen relations with investors and attract additional funding.
