Imon International Bank on Asia-Plus: transformation, people, and a new stage of development

8 January 2026

Imon International bank shared insights on its transformation, new opportunities, and future strategy in an interview on Asia-Plus.

From microfinance organization to bank: insights from leadership

“Thank you for your trust” — with these words, the Chairman of the Management Board of Imon International Bank, Giorgio Parola, opened his interview on Asia-Plus Radio.

During the broadcast, key milestones of the institution’s transformation — from a microfinance organization into a full-fledged bank — were discussed, along with the new opportunities now available to clients and partners.

Particular attention was given to:

- obtaining the banking license as a major strategic step;

- reducing interest rates, including special offers of up to –8%;

- strengthening the team and developing modern digital products.

Giorgio Parola is an international financial expert originally from Italy, with extensive experience working across different countries. He is one of the key reformers behind Imon International’s transformation and plays an active role in shaping its strategic direction.

Also featured in the discussion was Khosiyathon Sokhibnazar, who highlighted how digital solutions and marketing are transforming banking services and improving customer experience.

The conversation covered the year’s key results, the journey toward obtaining a banking license, and the bank’s priorities for future development.

Beyond the business agenda, Giorgio Parola shared his impressions of Tajikistan, noting the high level of safety, the cleanliness of cities, and the openness of the people. He also specifically praised the quality of local fruits.

With over 25 years of history, Imon International Bank is built on trust — not just as a number, but as a foundation shaped by core values: respect, integrity, commitment, and partnership.

Today, Bank IMON International continues to evolve by combining international expertise, a strong team, and modern technologies.
