MDO "IMON INTERNATIONAL" has started implementation of the "Program for adaptation and mitigation of the consequences of climate change in the Aral Sea basin" - CAMP4ASB.

In January 2016, Tajikistan and the International Development Association signed an agreement on financing the first phase of the program “Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in the Aral Sea Basin”. Within the framework of the approved funding for this regional program, 9 million USD was allocated to Tajikistan.

In November 2017, the signing ceremony of the agreement between MDO "IMON INTERNATIONAL" and the State Institution "Project Implementation Center" Access to Green Finance and Financing for Rural Development" under the Ministry of Finance within the framework of the project "Program for Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in the Aral Sea Basin" took place. The goal of the project is to enjoy the benefits of regional cooperation and synergy to address the challenges posed by climate change.

This program provides financial assistance to dekhkan farms and families from preferential regions of Tajikistan. Financing of the credit product of the CAMP4ASB Program will be carried out In all regions of the country.

It is expected that this initiative is mainly focused on improving the quality of agricultural seeds, water management in livestock farms, and reabilatation of irrigated land. In addition, the main directions of the program will relate to the promotion of sustainability and resilience of ecosystems and sources of life, land tenure taking into account soil protection, agricultural production, improving the efficiency of energy supply, and dissemination of renewable energy sources.

Loan size: from 15,000 to 500,000 TJS

Loan term: from 2 up to 60 months

Interest rate for women: 25% annually

Interest rate for men: 26% annually
