in 2015 CJSC MDO "IMON INTERNATIONAL" launched its second project in partnership with the Asian Development Bank - "Developing resilience to climate change in the Panj River Basin", within the framework of which "IMON INTERNATIONAL" acting as a partner extended loans to the vulnerable groups of population, especially women, to improve agricultural sector and diversify income sources. In addition, the project is focused in increasing resilience to climate change by communities in the Panj River Basin.
In the framework of this project, ADB allocated 700,000 USD to the Organization for implementation of this project. The project is expected to be completed in 2018. The project funds have been fully utilized.
The funds were used to improve infrastructure, for protection of farms from floods and mudslides, which cause serious economic damage to the residents living in the Panj River basin who face it every year. In total, infrastructure improvements are expected to be done in 59 villages and 19 communities.
