MDO IMON INTERNATIONAL has successfully passed certification on the Customer Protection Principles and received the highest possible rating - "Golden Certificate".
The independent international rating company MicroFinanza Raiting (Italy) has completed the evaluation of IMON INTERNATIONAL for compliance with the Customer Protection Principles. The GOLD level is the highest level of certification and means that IMON INTERNATIONAL complies with the most stringent customer protection principles set out in the International Universal Social Performance Management Standards.
The customer protection principles underlying the certification include: proper product design and delivery, avoidance of over-indebtedness, transparency, responsible pricing, fair and respectful treatment of customers, confidentiality and protection of customer data, and mechanisms for resolving complaints.
It should be noted that IMON INTERNATIONAL is the only financial organization in the Republic of Tajikistan that has this certificate.
IMON INTERNATIONAL currently serves over 270,000 active customers in 130 offices across the country over the past 22 years. From the first days of its work, the Organization relies on a customer-oriented policy and remains unchanged in its social mission. The organization seeks to provide services in hard-to-reach areas, expanding coverage of the population.
For reference:
The Customer Protection Principles Certification was developed by the SMART Campaign, a global initiative led by the Center for Financial Inclusion (ACCION) that has promoted the incorporation of customer protection practices into the core culture and daily operations of microfinance institutions. In 2020, the Customer Protection Standards and management of their implementation were transferred to the international non-profit associations SPTF and CERISE. The associations act as certification managers and rely on licensed certifiers to carry out consumer advocacy missions.
