Insured event - compulsory liquidation of a credit institution by a court decision without grounds for bankruptcy or on the grounds of bankruptcy in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Liquidation of Credit Institutions”.

In the event of an insured event, in accordance with the Law, the amount of compensation for deposits is as follows:

• In national currency not more than 500 (five hundred) indicators for calculation;
• In foreign currency not more than 350 (three hundred and fifty) indicators for calculation.

Deposits made in national currency shall be reimbursed in national currency. Deposits in foreign currency are reimbursed in the national currency at the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Tajikistan, set on the day of occurrence of the insured event. Interest on deposits is not reimbursed by the Fund. If the deposit agreement provides for the investment of interest on the deposit, then compensation shall be paid on the balance of the deposit.
